Lesca

Lesca invites you to explore a diverse mix of eyewear history

From Paris to Berlin: In 1964, Joël Lesca founded the brand LESCA in the 19th Arrondissement of Paris; to this day it remains an independent eyewear institution.

With its rich tradition, the brand LESCA fits harmoniously in the frame-filled drawers of our stores in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin Charlottenburg, and Berlin Mitte.

Since the 1960s, Joël Lesca followed his passion for taking classic frame shapes like the Panto and transforming them into a myriad of new variations based on the original designs — resulting in a collection that marries the classic and the modern. Frames are finished by the traditional methods of the French glasses craftsman. They are minimal and sleek — eyewear reduced to its essentials.

Monsieur Lesca is considered an old-school Grand Seigneur. His stylish appearance and French spirit make him a beloved part of the optical industry. This family-run company is now in the capable hands of the founder’s sons, Mathieu and Bertrand, who carefully guide the brand into the future while cherishing its past.

Since its very beginnings, LESCA has produced its eyewear solely in Morez, France, using traditional finishing methods. Morez sits in the heart of the Haut-Jura Regional Nature Park, the birthplace of French spectacles and a place of eyewear innovation since end of the 18th century. LESCA’s unmistakable classic design reflects France’s rich glasses history, but more importantly is rooted in the impeccable style of its founder, which is deeply intrenched in the DNA of the company.

Faithful to their original designs, the frames in the collection are available as corrective glasses and sunglasses in a wide variety of color combinations and sizes in our shops in Berlin Mitte, Berlin Prenzlauer Berg, and Berlin Charlottenburg. We are also happy to order any additional models, sizes, colors, or designs for you.
