Etienne started as an optician in 1990, and went on to manage and pioneer successful new eyewear concepts in the Netherlands. Swiss-born designer Susanne was educated at the Universities of Arts in Zurich and Utrecht, where she trained as a 3-D designer, then went on to create contemporary jewelry. With a strong focus on artisanal production methods and the use of unique materials, Amélie has positioned her label uncommon matters at the forefront of contemporary jewellery design.
